Guilsfield have announced this evening that experienced coach Gavin Allen has joined the club as manager.
The 48 year-old left his role at high flying Cymru South side Pontypridd United last month due to the extra travelling since his move to Guilsfield.
The Guils have struggled for a run of form this season in the JD Cymru North and had appointed Matt Burton as manager only last month after the shock departure of Nathan Leonard to Newtown in the summer.
It is thought though that Burton’s busy work commitments meant he is happy to step aside for Allen to take the reins.
The club thanked him for stepping in after Leonard's sudden departure and added: "Matt has helped the club in the negotiating process of appointing Gavin as manager."
Allen is an FAW Pro Licence coach, and also has a rich playing CV with League of Wales spells with Aberystwyth Town, Carmarthen, Bangor City, Caernarfon, and Barry Town.
He also enjoyed four years in management and coaching roles at Aberystwyth Town before joining Pontypridd United earlier this year.
