Hockey ladies on fire!

Welshpool Ladies are enjoying a brilliant start to the 24/25 season with only one defeat against the league leaders from six games.

Their fine start to the season sees them sitting in second place in the North Wales Hockey League Division One with five victories, including the latest on Saturday over local rivals Llanfair Caereinion, 1-0.

The ladies have scored 17 goals to date with just four conceded, two of which were in the 2-0 defeat to leaders Dysynni.

With some impressive team performances under their belts, Welshpool have a week off before playing Bala in the final game before the half season break.

Meanwhile, the junior section of the club continues to flourish with dozens of youngsters turning up to play on a Wednesday night at The Flash from 5.30pm-6.30pm. New members are always welcome.
