Welshpool Town Council has made the decision to cancel all outdoor activities tomorrow for the Winter Festival due to the incoming Storm Bert.
Up to 80mm of rain and 60mph winds are anticipated with a yellow weather warning in place for 12 hours from 6am.
In a statement this afternoon, the Town Council warned: “Due to the yellow weather warning in place for tomorrow, we have decided to cancel all outside stalls and the outdoor stage.
“All indoor stalls are still welcome to attend and all stage performances will now be indoors in the Assembly Room.
“Santa’s Grotto will still be located in the Corn Exchange and the indoor market will be open as usual.”
However, the lights are still expected to be switched on at 5pm, but there will not be a parade beforehand.
