Residents in the Welshpool area have just a few weeks to utilise the county council's waste collection service.
The service allows residents to dispose of their garden waste.
Cllr Jackie Charlton, Cabinet Member for a Greener Powys, said: “Many of us are tidying up our gardens after the summer and getting things prepared for spring. So, we are keen to remind our residents to make the most of the last few remaining garden waste collections of 2024.
“With that in mind, we are keen to remind everyone to make the most of the last few remaining garden waste collections of 2024.
“So far this year, with the help of participating households, thousands of tonnes of garden waste have been collected and recycled into compost.
“With the amount we collect now tailing off the service does take a break over the winter, but you can still recycle your garden waste by composting it at home or by taking it to one of the household waste and recycling centres in Powys.”
To check your remaining collection dates please refer to the 2024 subscription sticker on your green bin, or visit: https://en.powys.gov.uk/binday
Subscriptions for the 2025 service will be open in January, with the service resuming in early March 2025.
