The end of the line (until the Santa specials next month!)

The last train has reached the station and will be heading into the shed following another successful regular running season on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway.

It was a busy final weekend for the line which has welcomed thousands of visitors into the area once again over the past few months.

But while the service has stopped for now, volunteers will be heading out to carry out winter maintenance and plans are in place to run another Christmas season of Santa Specials and Mince Pie trains from December 7-23.

Bookings are already being taken and the advice is not to wait as many of the runs will sell out.
