13/06/2024 @ 09:38

Guilsfield are on the search for a new manager after Nathan Leonard called time on his second spell in charge this evening.

The club has not officially declared the reason for Leonard’s sudden departure, but the Mid Wales footballing grapevine believes he has been offered a senior coaching role within a League of Wales club.

He leaves the side in good shape, having returned pre-Covid for his second spell in charge.

Guilsfield are the longest serving JD Cymru North club with over 20 consecutive seasons competing at Tier 2 of the Welsh pyramid.

They successfully retained the Central Wales Senior Cup and reached the semi-final of the MG Nathaniel Cup last season.

“Following the manager’s resignation as of today, we are now welcoming applications for the post of Team Manager for the upcoming season,” a club statement revealed tonight.

Candidates must have:

• An A or B licence holder, preferably having managed, coached or played at Tier 2 or above

• Excellent communication, presentation and social skills, both on and off the field

• The ability to analyse team and player performance

• Experience with managing a playing budget

If you are interested in applying or would like more information on the post, contact Chairman, Paul Harding, on 07815 733 441 or the Club Secretary, Martin Roberts, on 07494 144 599.

Applications must be submitted via email and include a CV to pharding3@outlook.com by June 21.
