Division Two North leaders Welshpool host bottom placed club Abergele at the Maesydre this weekend and, having scored 50 points earlier in the season, they will be hoping to get full points from this encounter, writes Gary Williams.
However, as Welshpool Head Coach, Daley Jones, stated: “We know that, on their day, Abergele are a match for anybody in this division and we’re preparing for a tough battle, especially amongst the forwards.
“Last week’s postponement at Machynlleth has allowed some of the squad extra time to fully recover from flu and, come Saturday, the whole squad will be raring to go. It’s Sponsors Day at the club and we'll be hoping to put on a good performance for these very valuable members of our club and our loyal supporters.”
Elsewhere in Division Two, there are no games for Newtown or Machynlleth due to teams playing in the WRU National Division 3 Cup, which takes priority.
In Division One North, COBRA face a long journey north to take on Bethesda, a team always difficult to beat on their own turf. The hosts, fifth in the table, will be confident that they can take the points against eighth placed COBRA. Home advantage could be the deciding factor.
Whilst the first team are away, COBRA 2nds entertain Denbigh Athletic in Meifod and COBRA Youths can expect a tough challenge when Nant Conwy Youth visit. Newtown's Youth team travel to Bala.
