Online booking gremlins, part two

22/04/2025 @ 09:20

The day after the council’s controversial tip-booking system crashed, residents trying book in to get medical treatment were faced with another system that was down.

Welshpool residents were fuming yesterday to not only discover that their bins wouldn’t be collected, but Powys County Council’s online booking system to visit the recycling centre was down.

That was fixed by lunch time, but this morning it seems the online gremlins were back again but, this time, hitting the Welshpool Medical Centre.

Patients were warned first thing this morning that “we are having technical problems with the online Accurx triage forms” and that anyone needing urgent medical advice or treatment should ring the reception.

Thankfully, the team got to work immediately to sort the issue and it is now back to normal with the doctors stating: “You can now access the surgery for urgent medical advice/an appointment as normal. Thanks for your patience.”
