Over 200 February no-shows at doctors

Over 200 people failed to show up for their appointments at Welshpool Medical Centre in February, it has been confirmed.

Dozens of hours of time went unused due to the no-shows, and this comes despite regular pleas from the practice to encourage patients to call ahead if they know they are unable to attend.

But the doctors did see 5,665 patients during the month, and a total of 12,199 patients were dealt with in total through ‘administrative communication’.

The figures below are released every month by the practice, and shows just how vital the facility is to the town.
