Two injured in three-car Newtown road smash

Two people were taken to hospital following Tuesday's three-car smash that closed the A483 between Newtown and Abermule for several hours.

Dyfed-Powys Police said they are investigating collision that happened just before 6.30am, involving a Vauxhall, an Audi and a Volkswagen.

The two people taken to hospital received injuries that are “not believed to be life threatening”.

“Officers are now appealing for anyone who was travelling on the A483 between Newtown and Abermule at the time of the collision to get in touch,” a police spokesperson said.

“The team are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
