Patients attending appointments at Welshpool Medical Practice are being asked to mask-up after a virus rates continue to soar.
The practice announced that it is responding to “increasing infection rates of Flu, Covid and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) and that “we kindly request your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone”.
A statement from the practice states: “To protect vulnerable patients and staff, we encourage all patients and visitors to wear a face mask when entering Welshpool and Guilsfield surgery. Masks are available at reception if needed.”
And following last week’s unpopular announcement that urgent appointments will need to be online from February 3, the practice has also reminded visitors that their team should be treated with respect.
“Our practice team is here to help you,” the said. “We ask that all interactions with our practice team remain polite and respectful. Abuse of any kind including the use of unacceptable language will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service.
“Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our practice safe and welcoming for everyone.”
