Welshpool Fireworks donations near £3,000

Welshpool was treated to a fireworks spectacular last Saturday night, and those who donated have been thanked for coughing up nearly £3,000.

The Town Council-organised annual event is free to attend and last week’s went down well at Maesydre.

Donations are accepted and this afternoon the Town Council confirmed that £2,981.50 was raised.

“It’s an amazing total that will go towards next year’s display so a huge thank you to everyone who attended,” said a Town Council spokesperson.
