Police confirm break-in at Tesco petrol station

07/04/2026 @ 03:02

There are unofficial reports that tobacco was stolen during the overnight raid on Tesco petrol station.

Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that there was a “burglary” at the premises reported at 6.05am, thought to be when staff turned up to work.

Readers tell us that damage appears to have been caused to the back of the building and a police dog was also spotted on site this morning, with the station closed off to the public.

On New Year’s Day, thieves took over £6,000 worth of tobacco and cash and it is believed that is what has been targeted again. The previous crime was committed by two men from Liverpool who were sent to prison in February.

Police said that no arrests have been made for the break in, and have so far been unable to confirm what was happening on Brookfield Road at around midnight when officers were seen making an arrest there.
