Accident causing morning roads chaos around Welshpool

An accident last night on the busy Moors Straight is causing morning chaos with a diversion through Guilsfield being held up by traffic lights in the village.

AA Traffic News is stating that a car has struck a building on the A458 with the road expected to remain closed until a structural engineer can attend this morning.

It means morning traffic chaos for thousands as vehicles are diverted both ways through Guilsfield which is currently a nightmare for motorists with road works in the centre of the village.

Traffic Wales North & Mid have said: “Avoid the area. It’s likely that the road will be closed for some time.”
