Plant Mechanic/Fitter wanted

WANTED: PLANT MECHANIC/FITTER 

SDW CONSTRUCTION LTD & PLANT HIRE is a respected and growing company based in Mid Wales with over 20 years of experience within the construction industry.

Due to increasing demand and expansion within our plant hire and sales sectors we are looking to recruit an additional plant mechanic/fitter. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Essential Skills:

• A good knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing and servicing a large range of plant (Mini excavators up to 21 Ton Excavators, Dumpers, rollers, compressors)
• Qualification as a plant fitter.
• A valid driving licence
• To work within a team based at our headquarters and required to mobile breakdowns if required.
• Trustworthy, Reliable, Responsible, methodical and a can-do attitude.

Key Duties: 

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of plant within our fleet.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive service and repair records.
• To identify plant faults, to order relevant parts and to fit/repair.
• To communicate daily with manager and colleagues regarding work schedule.
• Assist work colleagues as and when required.
