Stunning Europa gold for Adele in Austria!

Adele Nicoll’s Winter Olympic dream is alive and well after she claimed a stunning gold medal today at the latest Europa Cup round in Igls, Austria.

The Welshpool elite athlete has fought back from serious injury to build a steady season on the European circuit this winter, but today she showed what is possible with her brilliant win in the monobob.

Her results have been getting steadily better as the season has gone on, inching closer to World Cup top 10 finishes over the past month, but today’s victory in the Europa Cup showed what she is capable of.

Adele is also looking to make an impact in the women’s bobsleigh with Kya Placide having set her sights on competing at the Winter Olympics for Team GB, which take place in Milano Cortino, Italy, from February 6-22.
