A week on from the calamitous car crash that took out a telegraph pole and lamppost on the back road, and residents are reporting they are all back online.
On Monday we reported that residents on Bron-y-buckley were demanding answers, and action, after being left without phone and internet connections in their homes following the Brook Street accident.
One photography businesses said they had put their work on hold due to being unable to download large files, while another elderly resident had no means of communication as she didn’t own a mobile phone.
BT Open Reach, responsible for telecoms infrastructure, told us they were doing what they could within the constraints of having to get road restrictions in place to carry out the work safely.
And, by last night, it appears that it is business as usual with connections restored.
Last week’s drama on the back road resulted in a 33-year old man being charged with driving a motor vehicle when the alcohol level is above the limit, being the driver of a vehicle failing to stop after a road accident and causing a vehicle to be left in a dangerous position.
He has been bailed to appear at Welshpool Magistrates court on November 19.
