West End Comes to Welshpool!

Audiences were treated to a touch of theatrical magic as Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School brought the spirit of the African savannah to the stage with a spectacular production of The Lion King Jr.

After weeks of dedicated rehearsals, the school’s upper school pupils delivered three outstanding performances, delighting family members, friends and the wider school community.

Their enthusiasm, confidence and talent shone through in every scene, earning warm applause and praise from audiences.

The production was the result of a tremendous team effort, with staff, parents and local businesses all playing a part in bringing the much-loved musical to life.

The school would like to extend its sincere thanks to Newmor Ltd, Welshpool, for generously donating a stunning stage backdrop that helped transform the performance space into the Pride Lands.

Special recognition also goes to Mrs Susan Bills and talented parent Donata, whose creativity and countless hours of work produced the impressive costumes and scenery that added colour and authenticity to the show.

“Everyone involved is incredibly proud of what the children achieved,” a spokesperson said. “Their commitment, teamwork and determination were evident throughout the production, making it an unforgettable experience for both performers and audiences alike.

“The school would like to congratulate every child who took part, as well as the staff, volunteers and supporters who helped make the production such a resounding success.”
