Festive bin days revealed
As expected, there will be no collections on Christmas Day or Boxing Day with planned collections happening two days later than normal from December 27.
If your normal collection day is on Thursday, December 28 or Friday, December 29, and you are due to have your wheeled bin (or purple sacks) emptied, the council will aim to do this on Saturday, December 30 and Sunday, December 31 respectively.
Your recycling will not be collected until the following week (when they will accept double/extra).
There will also be no collections on New Year’s Day, so if your normal collection day is on Monday, January 1, and you are due to have your wheeled bin (or purple sacks) emptied, they aim to do this on Tuesday, January 2 with your recycling to be collected the following week. All other collections this week will remain unchanged.
