Ysgol Llanfyllin, the new all-age school, will be holding a virtual information event for parents and pupils interested in attending its Sixth Form next week.
Ysgol Llanfyllin is the county’s second all-through school and was established after Llanfyllin C.P. School and Llanfyllin High School were merged.
It provides Welsh-medium and English-medium education for pupils from 4-18 years on the primary and high school sites.
Headteacher Dewi Owen (pictured, front) said: “We have a large and thriving Sixth Form here in Llanfyllin and we would normally be welcoming parents and pupils into the school building to show them our excellent facilities.
“As an alternative, we will be holding an online event to accompany our information video.
“There will be the opportunity to meet the team, find out about the subjects on offer and ask any questions you might have about life in Llanfyllin Sixth Form.”
The school will be opening a new Sixth Form Centre this year to include a lecture hall, resource base, study areas, traditional classrooms, e-learning spaces, a kitchen and common rooms for studying and socialising.
The Sixth Form information event will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday, February 4, via Microsoft Teams.
