Body found in search for missing Wynne

We have a tragic update this morning following Thursday’s appeal for information to find a missing man with strong links to our area.

Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for the former Welshpool man they only named as Phillip, also known as Wynne.

The 63-year-old went missing from the Borth area earlier this week. The body has not been formally identified as yet but next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

“We would like to thank the public for their support during the appeal. Enquiries remain ongoing at this time,” said a police spokesperson.
