Town facing disruption with roads set to close

Welshpool’s busy Red Bank road is to close for a day while residents on New Street in the town centre face 12 days of disruption.

Red Bank will close between the junction with Church Bank and Brookfield Road between 9am and 3pm on Friday, June 30 for Powys County Council staff to carry out essential repairs to the road surface.

Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained the council has confirmed.

New Street will be closed to traffic for 12 days from July 17-28 to allow Powys County Council to carry out paving refurbishment.
