‘Large’ tobacco raid on Guilsfield shop

An extensive investigation is underway following a burglary at the Costcutter store in Guilsfield last night.

Police say that a “large quantity of tobacco products were removed from the store” at around midnight and that three men were spotted making their escape in a small blue hatchback-type car.

“Officers attended the scene, and extensive enquiries were conducted overnight,” said a police spokesperson.

“Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the vicinity or anyone with any information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference 001 of the 25th of April. Or contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111.”
