More Transit Van power tool thefts

Two vans in Welshpool and one in Four Crosses were broken into and had their power tools stolen on the night of December 1.

The latest in a long list of similar thefts took place in the Gungrog Park and Salop Road areas with one more in Rodney’s View in Four Crosses.

Lately there have been rumours of a gang of thieves using master keys that can open any Ford Transit Van. There has also been talk of an arrest, but police have yet to confirm and the thefts continue.

“All of the vans in this case were Ford Transit Vans,” said a police spokesperson. “High value tools have been removed from all three.”

Meanwhile, more power tools were stolen from a property in the Sarnau area during the early hours of December 2.
