Postman’s first-class darts on Night 6

Postman, Dan Hosiene delivered on Night 6 of the Welshpool Premier League, sponsored by The Green Dragon Welshpool.

He produced one of the results of the night with a 4-2 victory over Steve Price, despite Steve firing in a 180 and a brilliant 10-dart leg.

Kacey Jones remains the only unbeaten player in the WPLD after another flawless night, strengthening his grip on top spot. Two convincing 4-1 and 4-0 victories over Cam Williams and Jon Gamble, along with 3x180s, took him to the top of the table.

Ewan Jones also enjoyed a superb evening, defeating Alex Howard 4-1 with a 180 and a superb 161 checkout, before overcoming Jamie Kynaston 4-2 with three 180s and a 104 checkout to keep the pressure on the leaders.

Gareth Ashley was in unstoppable form, whitewashing Gary Jones 4-0 before beating Rhys Butler 4-1 to climb further up the table.

Dan Morgan also had a productive evening, sharing the spoils in a hard-fought 3-3 draw with Jack Price, before defeating Cam Williams 4-1.

Jamie Cater bounced back from defeat to Jamie Kynaston with a comfortable 4-1 win over Alex Howard, while Gary Jones recovered from his opening loss to beat Dave Rix 4-2. 

Dave still impressed with three 180s across his two matches, while Mitch Butler produced a spectacular 151 checkout and a 12-dart leg despite losing to Dave, before earning a 3-3 draw with Oscar Hyland.

This Friday is a free week so the league will resume on the July 17.
