Welshpool Olympian Adele Nicoll has landed a new role, and it’s one that no-one could have seen coming!
With just a week to go until her homecoming night at Welshpool Town Hall when she will share her life story, Adele has been appointed as the new Non-Executive Performance Director of Wales Golf.
“This is a new challenge for me,” said the 29-year-old. “I am truly grateful for this opportunity. While I’m not a golfer myself, I have spent the last 15 years as an athlete in high-performance environments across different sports.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside an incredible team to help support players, coaches and the future of performance sport in Wales.”
It’s turning into quite a year for the dual athlete. In February, her Olympic dream came true when she competed in the Milano-Cortina Games in the Boblseigh, and this summer she hopes to make the Team Wales squad in shot put for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
