Welshpool Town Football Club has been confirmed as one of only four in Central Wales to be awarded the prestigious Platinum Accreditation standard.
The standard is the highest awarded to clubs in recognition of their work in grassroots football and Welshpool Town has achieved the recognition for the second year running, with the other three clubs being Llandrindod Wells, Penrhyncoch and Felinfach.
“Once again we have proved that we are a healthy and well-run football club with a clear strategy and purpose keen on creating pathways from juniors to seniors whether that be as players, coaches or refs,” the club responded to the news last night.
“We as a club are determined to embrace diversity on all levels and provide equal opportunities for everyone.
“Credit goes out to our hard-working Secretary, Eva, and every single person who works hard behind the scenes to ensure this is possible.
“If you are interested in becoming involved in the club as a volunteer, a match day assistant, coach, or player please feel free to contact us.”
