1940s Weekend steps up fundraising

There’s a hat-trick of fundraisers this week for the Welshpool 1940s Weekend, with a promise that Wednesday’s will finish in time for the England World Cup semi-final.

Tonight (Tuesday) there is a Prize Bingo in the Corn Exchange Welshpool, with eyes down at 7pm, free refreshments in the interval plus a raffle and jackpot flier.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) there is a Quiz at the Raven Inn from 6.30pm. It’s £3 per head, with teams of up to six people welcome. It will start on time to be finished in time for the footy.

This will then be followed by the Summer Draw, with are £1 for a book of five available from Alexanders, Welshpool Jewellers and Witch in the Willows.
