Veteran town councillor Phil Pritchard has been re-elected unopposed to serve another 12 months as the Chair of the Town Council’s Operations & Development Committee.
Cllr Pritchard was elected to the role last year, and was proposed by the Mayor, Cllr Bill Rowell, to continue with a unanimous vote backing the proposal.
His Deputy will be Nick Howells who was also elected unopposed after being forwarded by Cllr Chris Davies.
What is the Operations & Development Committee?
The purpose of the committee is to carry out the functions relating to council-owned assets, buildings, land, services and also to oversee new development opportunities for the Town Council.
It makes recommendations to Full Council following professional advice where needed from either the Town Clerk, relevant officers or a suitably qualified person and following the Council's approval for the Town Clerk to implement such decisions.
