A support group for people living with osteoporosis will meet in Newtown later this month, focusing on diet and bone health.
The Royal Osteoporosis Society’s Newtown Support Group is holding its next session this Friday from 2pm at Newtown Methodist Church, Back Lane.
The meeting will centre on the theme “Eating for Healthy Bones”, with speakers Savanna Jackson and Dan Bath from the Nutrition and Dietetic Department at Powys Teaching Health Board.
Organisers say the group offers a chance for people to meet others in the community who are living with osteoporosis, as well as those who have been affected by the condition.
The sessions are run by volunteers, including people with lived experience of osteoporosis and others closely connected to it.
The venue is located opposite Back Lane car park and the town’s bus station.
Anyone interested in attending is welcome to join the session.
