Pupils from Ysgol Rhiw Bechan has won an annual Christmas card design competition held by Russell George MS.
The Member of the Senedd for Montgomeryshire received a huge number of entries from local children who were showcased their artistic talents.
Mr George who judged the entries, said it was a very difficult selection process, so much so, that five pupils won this year!
He visited Ysgol Rhiw Bechan in Tregynon to thank pupils Nansie Harrison, aged 6, Otis Bradley, aged 7, Eleri Rees, aged 8, Lexi King, aged 9, and Evelyn Farley-Hughes, aged 11, for their excellent designs. All five designs appear on the Senedd Member’s Christmas card for 2025.
“I would like to thank Nansie, Otis, Eleri, Lexi and Evelyn for designing my Christmas Card this year, and all those other children who entered,” said Mr George MS.
“This is the 15th year that I have run the competition and the standard of entries was again very high indeed. It was very difficult to pick just one winner.
“The winning five designs have now been printed on the front of my cards, which have been sent to organisations and individuals across the county.
“I’d like to say thanks to all the young people who took part and I wish everyone a happy Christmas.”
