Tractor Run has raised £5k to date!

Organisers of Sunday’s spectacular Illuminated Tractor Run have revealed that over £5,000 has been raised for a vital local farming charity.

The event attracted almost 170 tractors, and after setting off from Welshpool Livestock Market, they traversed a route lined by thousands of spectators through numerous villages before returning to the start point.

Collectors along the route boosted the money raised with bucket collections and last night the amount stood at just over £5,000.

The money will be handed over to Tir Dewi, who provide support for farmers and their families across Wales to help them overcome their problems, whatever they are.
