Organisers of Welshpool’s annual Remembrance Day commemorations have put out an appeal for a marching band or a drummer to get in touch.
For several years, the Town Council has struggled to attract a marching band to lead its parade through the town centre, opting instead to play music from a lead car which has been effective.
But feedback from a recent public consultation has shown that people want to see the return of live music.
“We need your help!” the Town Council has appealed. “(A) Marching band/drummer is needed for our annual Remembrance parade.
“If you know of a marching band or a drummer who would be interested in becoming our parade leader, contact Welshpool Town Council on 01938 553142 or kimberly@welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk.”
