Roads chaos following A483 vehicle incident

Motorists have faced road chaos this morning following an accident on the A483 between Newtown and Aberbechan.

The road remains closed at 9am as police and emergency services remain at the scene.

The Wales Air Ambulance was also called out shortly after the accident at 8am. It is not know how many vehicles or injuries there are.

Roads around the surrounding area have been affected as motorists attempt to find alternative routes, including Kerry, Berriew, and Bettws.

Police have urged people to stay away from the area and official diversions have now been put in place.
