A talk in Newtown next week will focus on the work and current funding crisis facing a local opera company.
Newtown and District Civic Society’s February meeting will be “35 Years of Making Opera in Mid-Wales”.
Bridget Wallbank of Mid Wales Opera will tell the company's story and what is happening.
"After 35 years of bringing professional opera to the area, the company faces a funding crisis but is still determined to produce high quality performances and engagement with schools and communities," said a statement from the civic society.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 11 February at the Crescent Community Centre, Milford Road. Members can enter free and non-members will pay £3.
