Motorcyclist dies in Berriew smash

Dyfed-Powys Police have tragically confirmed that a motorcyclist sadly died in yesterday’s smash that closed the main road to Berriew for over 12 hours.

The man, in his 60s, was riding a blue Yamaha motorcycle that collided with a Toyota Hilux at around 3.20pm on the A483.

“His family have been informed and are being supported by officers,” a spolice spokesperson said.

“The road was closed overnight while specialist collision investigators carried out their enquiries. It re-opened at 3.40am this morning.

“Anyone with information that could help with the investigation, including anyone who was travelling along the road at the relevant time with dashcam footage, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either through a direct message on social media, online at: https://bit.ly/DPPContactOnline, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk , or by calling 101.
