23/01/2025 @ 11:11

There’s a double weather warning now in place for the Welshpool area tomorrow, with Storm Éowyn expected to bring in plenty of heavy rain and strong winds.

South and west Wales are under a yellow warning for wind today, but a yellow warning for rain comes into play for Welshpool from midnight tonight through until 9am tomorrow.

A second weather warning for high winds covers most of the UK from midnight tonight through to midnight tomorrow.

“Storm Éowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and some disruption on Friday, and heavy rain on Friday morning may cause some local flooding,” a spokesperson for the et Office said.

What should we expect?

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
