Date for ‘Pud’s funeral confirmed

Welshpool will bid farewell to Pete ‘Pud’ Davies on Friday, December 20, it has been confirmed.

The popular 50-year-old died suddenly in his Welshpool home last month, stunning the town with tributes posted to social media by hundreds of family and friends.

Both Welshpool rugby and cricket clubs made heartfelt tributes to their former player, and following the funeral at Shrewsbury Crematorium (10.45am), a memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Church at 1pm, followed by a gathering at his beloved rugby club.
