Welshpool will be providing three opportunities for the town to pay their respects to the brave who sacrificed everything for our futures.
Welshpool Town Council working with the Royal British Legion (Welshpool branch) to hold a ceremony at the memorial gardens located at Howell Drive on Friday, November 8. The service begins at 2pm and is likely to finish by approximately 2.30 pm with refreshments available at the Youth Centre after the service.
On Sunday, November 10, the Remembrance parade and Church service will be held. Members/groups in the parade are meeting at the Town Hall from 10.15am, where
they will then move over to Park Lane entrance and form the parade ready to march
to St Mary’s Church.
The parade will start at approximately 10.35am to arrive at St Mary’s at 10.50am and be seated ready for the service, after which members will form outside the Inglenook Cafe and parade back to the Corn Exchange, Welshpool Town Hall, where refreshments will be served.
On Monday, November 11, at 11 am, a two-minute silence and the reciting of
the Exhortation and the Kohima Epitaph will be held outside the Town Hall in Welshpool, which all are welcome to attend.
