Welshpool’s successful Hub is returning to twice a week, building on its success of the last two years in providing a warm, sociable space for people of the town to gather.
The Hub was originally set up to deal with the country’s cost of living crisis post-Covid, but has become much more, welcoming community groups and organisations who can offer advice and help for just about everything.
There is also warm food available for just a donation, if visitors can afford it, with one of the lead organisers, Cllr Nick Howells, saying “the ever-popular baked spuds are back on the menu”.
Whilst it is happening on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Town Hall all throughout the coming winter months, this week’s Thursday opening won’t be happening due to preparations for the early evening’s free Halloween bash being organised by the Town Council.
But, tomorrow, visitors to The Hub can benefit from jobs advice and help on hand for preparing CVs from representatives of Permanent Recruitment Solutions (pictured) from 10am-2pm.
