A Halloween party and parade will launch a fortnight of events with something for the whole town to support.
After its successful introduction last year, another free Halloween event for the town’s youngsters will be held on October 31 at the Town Hall.
At this week’s Town Council Events & Tourism Committee meeting, events co-ordinator Kimberly Wright said that tickets had gone “really, really well” and despite last minute changes to the entertainment, it was on track to be “a great event”.
The following night (November 1) will see the Anthems of Rock concert held in the Town Hall with a night of rock classics being performed by some of the best musicians in the business.
The next day, Welshpool will host its annual free Fireworks Display at Maesydre, before the town heads into its Remembrance events, with the annual parade and service on November 10.
Councillors were also reminded that the Winter Festival is being held on November 23, when the Christmas lights go on at 5pm, and the Christmas Disco returns to the Town Hall on November 30.
