Mayor to issue Banking Hub update online tonight

A long-awaited update on the Banking Hub’s missing services will be provided tonight by the Mayor, and residents can log-in to hear the news in person.

Welshpool Town Council has invested in a new ‘Owl’ system that provides clear audio and visual online from the Town Hall council chamber.

And the stand-out item for tonight’s meeting, which starts at 6.30pm, is an update to be provided by Cllr Phil Owen (pictured below) on the Banking Hub which has had a mixed reception since bringing banking services back to the town centre during the winter.

Last month we revealed that due to the need for a new disabled access ramp, the Hub has had to apply for new planning permission to relocate a potential cash machine (ATM). Tonight, we will hear what the latest is.

There is also a section early in the meeting where the public can put questions to the council.
