One man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs following a three-car smash that closed the road to Arddleen last night.
The road was closed following the smash just past the Pool Quay straight at about 9.45pm, and it involved a silver BMW, a silver Renault and a black Audi. Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
“One male was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs,” the police confirmed.
“The road was closed and reopened just after 2am (Wednesday).”
