Stunned community raises thousands in Holli’s memory

Friends, family and stunned members of the community have united to support an online fundraiser set up by the Godmother of teenager Holli Smallman who tragically died in the River Severn last Friday night.

Yesterday, the family made a touching tribute to 15-year-old Holli, whilst warning of the dangers in and around water.

And now, Tina Dewis has set up the gofundme page to help with costs towards a ‘special day’ for Holli with almost 200 people already donating well over £3,000, smashing the original target of £1,000.

“The money raised by our community will go towards Holli’s special day and will act as a place for people to show their respect,” Tina posted.

In the family’s statement yesterday, Holli was described as “fun-loving and lived a life full of song and dancing, had an infectious joy for life and her positive and lovable cheeky nature made an impact on everyone she ever met”.
