Revealed: How Welshpool Skatepark could look!

The long-awaited reveal for how Welshpool’s new skatepark could look has been released this morning.

Specialists Canvas have shared their first draft of what they propose for Welshpool, following the closure of the town’s previous facility during Covid.

Users and parents had become increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress since by Welshpool Town Council has made the project a priority and wants a bigger and better facility than was previously available.

And on this first look, that’s exactly what the town will get with the current car park at Maesydre earmarked for the development.

“Canvas will be coming back to do another further consultation with the community,” said a town council spokesperson.

“You can either email Canvas directly with your thoughts or speak to them face to face with the date of the next consultation to be shared in the next couple of weeks.”
