Thousands of pounds have been raised for the family of a young woman who was well known in the area and sadly lost her brave battle with cancer.
Friends have rallied round the family of Jade Rayment (née Downes) who sadly passed away on December 1, and have launched a fund raiser to pay for grief counselling and other support for her two young boys Flynn and Rollo, and her husband Luke.
“Jade was originally from Bishops Castle, where she went to school, but she lived many years in Llanrhaeadr, Llansantffraid as well as Manafon,” a close friend told us.
“She had worked in Welshpool and Oswestry before moving to Cardiff where she raised her boys until her sad passing earlier this month.
Described as “ever-organised”, Jade planned for Active Grief Counselling for her boys in her final days and the fundraising will help to cover the costs as well as provide more support to the young family.
“Jade was a friend to all, always wanting to help others despite her own battles and will be hugely missed by so many.”
The appeal has so far raised over £3,600 from more than 120 donations and if you would like to contribute, the link is here.
