Gates open for Welshpool Country Music Festival

13/07/2023 @ 08:59

Festival goers from across the UK will start arriving in Welshpool today (Thursday) for the weekend’s Country Music Festival.

For over 35 years, the town has hosted one of the biggest festivals in the UK for the genre, and this year it will again be raising vital funds for the The Heulwen Trust, which is a Charity dedicated to providing boat trips on the Montgomery Canal for those who are less abled than most.

While the field opens at noon today for campers holding weekend tickets, the music will only get underway on Friday night (for weekend tickets only), with the main festival acts performing on Saturday and Sunday.

Six international acts, including the popular John Permenter Band, will feature on Saturday with another six set to hit the T Alun Jones Stage on Sunday.

Weekend tickets, including camping, cost £60 with day tickets for each of Saturday and Sunday costing £20. Children Under 16 get in for free. click here for tickets.
