Adele to star in BBC reality TV show
The 26-year-old elite athlete has revealed why she disappeared off the Welshpool radar for several weeks last summer to film a new programme called Go Hard Or Go Home, which will debut on February 19.
Based on a stunning tropical island, Adele is one of the Warriors in an elite team of “fearsome fighters, rock-solid sportspeople and awe-inspiring athletes” ready to change eight contestants’ lives – and help them push themselves to their absolute limits.
Those contestants are all stuck in a rut – some want to get healthy again after long illnesses, some want to move on after trauma, and others just need a change. Luckily, the Warriors are on hand to motivate them and help them transform their bodies and minds through a set of gruelling physical challenges.
“I was casted for this show in early 2022 and filming took place over the summer in the Caribbean,” Adele told us last night.
“An assistant producer approached me on social media and invited me for the casting interview. It was one of the best experiences of my life. It is action packed and emotional. I can't wait for everyone to watch.”
Adele is the reigning British shotput champion and has switched sports this winter to bobsleigh in a bid to become a dual Olympian in both sports.
She is currently in France where she is preparing to continue the bobsleigh season with a competition in Norway in two weeks’ time.
Aside from the Warriors, the Go Hard or Go Home contestants will be put through their paces by ‘Coach’, aka fitness Paul Olima. Olima will be overseeing the cast’s training and introducing them to each of the element challenges they have to pass in order to proceed in the competition.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, meanwhile, will be hosting the beginning and end of the show, as well as providing voiceover throughout the series.
