Sponsors are being sought to help a Llanfyllin firefighter and Welshpool Boxing Club member compete in the Hyrox World Fitness Championships in Las Vegas.
Josh Greer qualified for the World Championships by winning his age group in the Hyrox UK Championships At Birmingham last year and is now preparing to show his fitness again on May 10th.
Greer has been working at Rigorous in Welshpool under the watchful eyes of father and son trainers Mike and Warren Sinden for the last four years.
Warren Sinden said: “Josh has become someone the gym can be really proud of but also the people of Llanfyllin and Welshpool. He flies the flag for Welshpool Boxing and is becoming a real role model to the youngsters in the gym.
“He's a pleasure to be around and an all-round nice guy! Josh is a retained firefighter at Llanfyllin and a tree surgeon and represents Welshpool Amateur Boxing Club.”
Warren has issued a call for support to help fund the firefighter’s trip to Vegas.
“I'm looking to see if anyone would like to help out by sponsoring his trip to compete in Las Vegas,” he said. “Any local person or business who might be interested please just pop me or him a message. This lad is a machine and I don't say that lightly. He takes his training seriously and is very dedicated to it
