The new opening days for the household waste and recycling centres have been announced by Powys County Council.
And it’s good news as between the centres at Newtown and Welshpool, we’ll be able to dump rubbish seven days a week.
Last month the council’s cabinet approved a recommendation to increase the opening days at the centres to five a week, including weekends.
They also agreed to introduce a permit scheme for residents to use commercial-type vehicles and trailers for their own household waste.
The decision followed an urgent review of the impact of reduced opening days and vehicle restrictions introduced in April as part of budget-saving measures.
The new opening days will come into effect from Friday, September 1.
